A small computer with a real GPU. Runs vision models, small LLMs and robotics stacks on-device, without the cloud.
When a Raspberry Pi isn’t enough for the AI part of a project, this is the usual next step. The Orin Nano Super is a credit-card-sized module on a carrier board with an NVIDIA GPU, which runs object detection on several camera streams, small language models, and the robotics software that research labs use.
It’s the natural companion computer for an autonomous drone built around a Pixhawk 6X, which has an Ethernet port for exactly this. On a robot or smart camera, it means the AI runs locally: no cloud fees, no network lag, nothing leaves the device.
Before you buy: this is a development kit, not a finished product. Expect to spend time with Linux, NVIDIA’s JetPack software and Python. If you just want a vision model on a Pi you already own, the Raspberry Pi AI Camera is a far gentler start.
