AI failure detection for 3D printers. Watches your webcam, spots spaghetti and failed prints, and pauses the job.
A failed print at hour two of a twelve-hour job becomes a ball of plastic “spaghetti” that keeps growing until someone notices. Obico watches your printer’s webcam with a trained model and pauses the print when it sees a failure, then notifies you on your phone.
It works with Klipper and OctoPrint, which covers most Ender-style and custom printers. It’s also open source: you can run the server yourself at no cost if you have a spare computer and some patience, or pay for the hosted version.
Check your printer first. Many recent machines, including Bambu Lab’s, ship with camera-based failure detection built in, so you may not need Obico at all. It’s most useful on printers that don’t.
