Parametric CAD with an AI assistant. Describe a part in words and get editable geometry you can export as STEP or STL.
Text-to-3D tools like Meshy make sculptures. Text-to-CAD tools make parts. Zoo’s Zookeeper assistant turns a description like “a 40 mm wall bracket with two countersunk 4 mm holes” into real parametric geometry that you can edit, dimension and export as STEP or STL.
It handles the simple, tedious parts well: spacers, brackets, plates and basic enclosures. Independent testing has found it struggles with complex mechanical geometry such as gears and manifolds, so treat it as a fast first draft, not a replacement for learning CAD.
Always measure before you print. Check the critical dimensions in the model, and print a quick test piece before committing to a long job.
