Arduino Plug and Make Kit

Arduino's official no-solder starter kit, built around the UNO R4 WiFi with plug-in sensor modules and seven guided projects.

Strengths

  • Plug-together modules, so no wiring mistakes
  • Official board with WiFi for connected projects
  • Guided projects get you to a working result fast

Trade-offs

  • Costs more than clone kits with more parts
  • Less breadboard and wiring practice

Most starter kits are a box of loose components and a PDF. The Plug and Make Kit takes the opposite approach: sensors and outputs come as small modules that plug together with cables, so the first project works in minutes rather than after an evening of wiring.

That makes it the best choice for beginners and for families. If you want to learn wiring, resistors and breadboards properly, the cheaper ELEGOO Super Starter Kit teaches more of that.
